A Letter from Camp Noncompete

While I didn't make and Smores while I was away, I did do some work for some interesting organizations.

Just got back from the DMA Nonprofit Conference where I saw a lot of my friends.

It's been a long year--staying out of the Nonprofit Sector, but that all ends on March 3rd and I let a lot of people know that.

I've been designing mail for For-profit companies, and while it allows me to "keep my chops" it's not as rewarding as doing work with good causes. I guess my merit badges are in Telecom and Finance right now.

The clients I miss the most are the folks at Nature Conservancy, African Wildlife Foundation, Defenders of Wildlife, Capital Area Foodbank, American Farmland Trust, Rainforest Alliance, Ocean Conservancy, Food and Friends and a host of others who are doing great work and I am honored to have worked with them.

I DID find out that I still have some of the controls at African Wildlife and Nature Conservancy almost a year later.

Now the question is, will they allow me to beat my own controls?

I will most certainly ask.

I'm in the process of selling my house and buying a new one. At least I hope that will happen.

We still have the cats, the dog and still sponsor the pig, a turkey and two steers name Rocky and Bullwinkle.

March 3rd is right around the corner and I can't wait to get back into the business granting people the opportunity to do something good.
